As members of the Old Colony Library Network (OCLN), a resource sharing cooperative of South Shore libraries, the Thomas Crane Public Library is thrilled to announce the launch of Aspen, our brand new online library catalog system through OCLN. Our network team has spent the past year working hard to bring this improved, user-friendly experience to you, and the new online catalog will be going live on April 30th!
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this important upgrade. This transition to Aspen is all about creating a better experience for our library users. With improved searching capabilities, online account management, and a mobile-ready interface, browsing and borrowing will soon be easier than ever.
What You Need to Know:
Go Live Update: Ongoing Issues
To access your Library Account, go to My Account and enter your library card number and PIN/password using all capital letters, even if you previously used lowercase. If you have forgotten your PIN/password and need to reset it, click on Reset My Password and you will receive an email with instructions to reset your password if there is an email address attached to your library account.
We continue to experience periodic authentication issues between our new catalog system and some library apps such as Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy. OCLN is working on resolving this. In the meantime, please Contact Us for help if you are having trouble accessing any of your accounts.
Some account phone numbers and default holds pickup locations did not migrate correctly. You can update your notification and pickup settings under Your Account > Account Settings.
If you elected to save your reading history under our previous catalog system and are not seeing your reading history in the new system, OCLN is looking into why not all reading histories migrated.
Not all E-resources are displaying in the catalog yet. Please visit Overdrive to browse our collection of e-books and e-audiobooks, or download the companion Libby app. Browse even more e-books and audiobooks, including music, movies, and tv shows via the Hoopla app.
