Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to raising money to pay for public programs, and raising awareness of the library’s vital role in the educational and cultural life of Quincy.

What We Do

Support for Library Programs

Proceeds from Friends membership dues and the Friends Bookstore fund discounted passes to area museums and zoos, as well as an array of programs—including storytellers, concerts, lectures, and movies—for children, teens, and adults.

Friends Bookstore

The Friends Bookstore sells almost new books, audiobooks, DVDs, and CDs at a substantial discount. Our volunteer-run bookstore is located in the Atrium of the Main Library Branch.

Friends Newsletter

Our email newsletter provides information to members about Friends activities and library events. Send us an email at [email protected] to be added to our email list.
