The Thomas Crane Public Library is excited to announce the launch of its new book bike, a mobile extension of the library that brings resources and books directly to the community. The library will officially unveil the bike at the TCPL Book Bike Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 2:30 – 3:30 PM on the Olmsted Lawn. All are welcome to join us to learn more about the book bike and our mission to increase information access!
The book bike will give visitors the opportunity to browse and check-out library books, learn about library resources, and sign up for a library card remotely. Made possible by the generous sponsorship from our Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library, the book bike will empower TCPL to take its mission on the move and make appearances at beaches, parks, and other community events all summer long.
Find the book bike at other destinations across Quincy all summer, including:
- Wollaston Beach Wednesdays
- Wednesday, July 29, 2026 | 6 – 8 PM

- Friday, July 31, 2026 | 12 – 4 PM
