New Year, New Hours! As one of the ten busiest branch libraries in the state of Massachusetts, we are proud to announce that the North Quincy Library is expanding their open hours to meet popular demand! The North Quincy Library will now also be open on Fridays starting the week of January 5, 2026!
So far in 2025, the North Quincy Library has welcomed approximately 82,026 visitors, which accounts for 21.6% of all visitors across the Thomas Crane Public Library system. On average, the North Quincy Library gets between 16 and 89 visitors per open hour, peaking during after school hours. The North Quincy Library houses over 25,530 items in circulation and processes over 5000 checkouts, holds, and renewals each month. With a robust World Languages – Chinese collection, supplementing the Chinese collection at the Main Library, multilingual children’s programming, a dedicated, volunteer Teen Advisory Board, and popular adult programs such as Crafternoons and Great Quincy Bake-Offs, the demand to expand open hours was necessary. 2025
